Lumivio DRM
Content protection included, without paying for every playback
Studio DRM is contracted from an external provider and billed per licence issued or per subscriber. Lumivio DRM is part of the platform: it protects your line-up from day one, with no additional contracts and no per-playback costs. And when a programmer requires studio DRM, Widevine, FairPlay and PlayReady are available on the same platform.

Both protections coexist: you can protect your line-up with Lumivio DRM and enable studio DRM only on the channels that require it.

End-to-end control
The key authority, the licences, the policy and the audit trail belong to Lumivio. No third party decides who watches your content.

No added latency
Licences are issued per session, never per segment. No external call stands between the subscriber and the next piece of video.

Built for the CDN
Encrypted objects are cached without exposing keys: delivery nodes serve protected content without ever holding it in the clear.

Keys in memory only
Keys are never written to disk, not even on nodes installed on the operator’s own premises.

Rotation without cuts
Keys rotate in step with the signal, so redundancy and switching between nodes keep protection intact.

Fails closed
If anything in the protection chain fails, content is never downgraded to clear: it stops before it is exposed.
Ready for the post-quantum era
Lumivio DRM combines classical and post-quantum cryptography in every key exchange and every licence signature, using the algorithms standardized by NIST. An attacker would have to break both at once, today or with a quantum computer tomorrow.
- Hybrid key exchange: ML-KEM-768 together with X25519.
- Hybrid licence signatures: ML-DSA-65 together with Ed25519, both mandatory.
- AES-256-GCM authenticated media encryption, the only profile that keeps a 128-bit margin against quantum search.
- Standard, reviewed primitives: Lumivio invents no ciphers and no obfuscation.
Continuity
Designed so the service does not stop
Television does not allow pauses. Lumivio deploys the components that serve the apps close to your subscribers and keeps playback from depending on a single point.
If something fails, the subscriber should never find out.
